Who builds WiseCalc, how we check the math, how we stay independent of advertisers, and the limits of what a calculator can tell you.
Who is behind WiseCalc
WiseCalc is built and maintained by Vitalii Kurovskyi, a software engineer with a 20-year background in retail technology. The calculators, the explanatory content and this editorial policy are written and reviewed by one accountable person rather than an anonymous content farm. Our editorial principles
- Accuracy first. A finance calculator is only as good as its math. We use standard, textbook formulas and verify outputs against worked examples before publishing.
- Transparency. Every formula a tool uses is documented on our methodology page, with the public data sources behind each default value.
- User-first, not advertiser-first. No calculator result, default value or recommendation is ever influenced by an advertiser. The math is the math.
- Clarity over persuasion. We explain trade-offs honestly — including when the "obvious" choice is not the cheapest one — instead of steering you toward a product.
How we fact-check
Before a calculator or an explainer goes live it is checked on three levels. First, the formula is matched against a recognised standard model — for example, the level-payment amortization formula for loans, or the future-value formula for compound growth. Second, the implementation is tested with worked numerical examples, and the results are independently re-derived to catch off-by-one, wrong-sign and rounding errors. Third, the statutory inputs — tax rates, programme parameters, withholding — are cross-checked against the primary official source (for Ukraine: ДПС, НБУ, Мінфін, КМУ) for the current fiscal year. Worked examples in our long-form articles are recomputed by a second pass before publication.
Independence and conflicts of interest
WiseCalc is free to use and is supported by display advertising served through Google AdSense. Advertising is clearly separated from content and never affects which result a calculator returns, which default we choose, or what an article concludes. We do not accept payment to feature, rank or recommend any specific bank, lender, broker or financial product, and we do not use affiliate links inside calculator results. If that ever changes, any paid or affiliate relationship will be disclosed plainly on the relevant page.
Corrections
We would rather be corrected than be wrong. If you spot an error in a formula, a default value or an example, please tell us — see the corrections page for how to report it and how quickly we respond. Substantive fixes are logged so the change history is visible.
Not financial advice
WiseCalc provides general, educational estimates based on the inputs you enter. It does not know your full financial situation and cannot account for every fee, tax nuance or change in law. Our tools are not financial, tax, investment or legal advice, and using them does not create an advisor-client relationship. For decisions that materially affect your money, consult a qualified professional who can review your individual circumstances.

Наші редакційні принципи
- Спочатку точність. Фінансовий калькулятор вартий рівно стільки, скільки варта його математика. Ми використовуємо стандартні, підручникові формули і звіряємо результати з опрацьованими прикладами перед публікацією.
- Прозорість. Кожна формула, яку використовує інструмент, задокументована на нашій сторінці методології, із публічними джерелами за кожним значенням за замовчуванням.
- Спочатку користувач, а не рекламодавець. Жодний результат калькулятора, дефолтне значення чи рекомендація ніколи не залежать від рекламодавця. Математика — це математика.
- Ясність важливіша за переконування. Ми чесно пояснюємо компроміси — зокрема коли «очевидний» вибір не є найдешевшим — а не підштовхуємо вас до продукту.
Як ми перевіряємо факти
Перш ніж калькулятор чи пояснення виходить у світ, його перевіряють на трьох рівнях. По-перше, формулу звіряють із визнаною стандартною моделлю — наприклад, формулою ануїтетної амортизації для кредитів або формулою майбутньої вартості для складного росту. По-друге, реалізацію тестують на опрацьованих числових прикладах, а результати незалежно перераховують, щоб упіймати помилки «на одиницю», неправильний знак і округлення. По-третє, законодавчі вхідні дані — податкові ставки, параметри програм, утримання — звіряють із первинним офіційним джерелом (для України: ДПС, НБУ, Мінфін, КМУ) на поточний фіскальний рік. Опрацьовані приклади в наших лонгрідах перераховуються другим проходом перед публікацією.
Незалежність і конфлікт інтересів
WiseCalc безкоштовний і підтримується банерною рекламою через Google AdSense. Реклама чітко відокремлена від контенту і ніколи не впливає на те, який результат повертає калькулятор, який дефолт ми обираємо чи який висновок робить стаття. Ми не приймаємо оплату за показ, ранжування чи рекомендацію конкретного банку, кредитора, брокера або фінансового продукту і не використовуємо партнерські (affiliate) посилання всередині результатів калькуляторів. Якщо це колись зміниться, будь-які платні чи партнерські відносини буде прямо розкрито на відповідній сторінці.
Виправлення
Ми радше будемо виправлені, ніж залишимося неправими. Якщо ви помітили помилку у формулі, значенні за замовчуванням чи прикладі — напишіть нам: на сторінці виправлень описано, як повідомити про неї і як швидко ми відповідаємо. Суттєві виправлення фіксуються, тож історія змін лишається видимою.
Не є фінансовою порадою
WiseCalc надає загальні, освітні оцінки на основі введених вами даних. Він не знає вашої повної фінансової ситуації і не може врахувати кожну комісію, податковий нюанс чи зміну законодавства. Наші інструменти не є фінансовою, податковою, інвестиційною чи юридичною порадою, і їх використання не створює відносин «радник — клієнт». Для рішень, що суттєво впливають на ваші гроші, зверніться до кваліфікованого фахівця, який може врахувати ваші індивідуальні обставини.
